Implementation Plan

What is a Community School?
A community school is a holistic educational model built on four foundational pillars designed to serve both students and the broader neighborhood. It ensures students' basic needs are met through on-site medical, mental health, and social services, while offering expanded learning opportunities outside of traditional school hours, such as on weekends and during the summer. Additionally, the model fosters strong family and community ties by offering adult education and actively including parents, educators, and local organizations in a shared decision-making process to dictate how the school can best serve the neighborhood.
